Magic Kingdom Matterhorn?

I really couldn't care less about the Pixie Hollow cut, (though I was really looking forward to taking my Tinkerbell-obsessed cousin there) Numerous people seem to be saying that the only guaranteed attractions are Be Our Guest Restaurant, Journey of the Little Mermaid, and the new Dumbo. I'm getting a little nervous about further cuts. I want the whole expansion to come to fruition. (we all know what happened with all of Epcot's and AK's promised attractions...) Now there seems to be a little uncertainty about what will be and new ideas are even being tossed around. One being a Magic Kingdom version of the Matterhorn complete with 2 versions of the bobsled run and a boat ride at the bottom. Of course, this is highly unlikely because if Disney thought this was going to make money, we would have the Mt. Fuji coaster and the Rhine River Cruise back on the agenda today. I like some of the other ideas people put in the comment part on that page. I love the fact of keeping the Swiss/German type theme to Fantasyland and if you add the princess part, it just won't be the same... I think people get too caught up with princess stuff that they forget about the real fantasy of Disney. Like Pinocchio. It taught us that when you wish upon a star, your dreams can come true. You can't get anymore Disney than that! I would just love to have a Pinocchio themed part of Fantasyland. I do like the idea of the Matterhorn though. Thats pretty nice!

II think people get too caught up with princess stuff that they forget about the real fantasy of Disney.

Disney builds what the people want. What makes money. Just like people have forgotten the true purpose of Epcot. Norway's once authentic restaurant has been runover by princesses. The Disney magic at Epcot is not supposed to be character-based, it was based on science, culture, and innovation. The Living Seas pavilion shared the idea with people that with the latest innovations, we can use technology to study and learn about our oceans. Now it's just a Finding Nemo ride. Gran Fiesta Tour was once El Rio del Tiempo, a charming ride that celebrated Mexico's history, now it's all about Donald Duck. Disney isn't much into ideals anymore. (not that they aren't completely) They build what they know the people will want and what they know will make them money.
