With Epcot's Via Napoli being built, the structure for the Neptune fountain is most-likely going to be demolished. From the pictures I've seen on Screamscape, it looks like Disney's taking it down. Is it going to be relocated? It's pretty much the Italy Pavilion's main representation of Rome. Any thoughts?

If it's gone for good, color me disappointed. :(

I doubt it'll be gone for good. That'd be like ripping St. George out of Germany... It makes me wonder what the original plans for the statue were for the original Italy expansion(the one that got screwed over) I guess we'll wait and see. Fingers crossed for that iconic Neptune.

It's really an item of beauty that could easily be saved...it would be a waste to kill it. They realize that, I hope.

Actually you guys, I looked at the photos again. The small chunk that was knocked out of the fountain building wall was only there because they had to tear down the temporary stone wall at the rear of the pavilion. Maybe they're just going to leave the fountain right where it is infront of the restaurant. :) Who knows?

Would make sense, and the cheapness of TDO would allow for it...LOL

I don't see them taking it out completely. It is to much of a icon for that pavillion.
