This is our D23 Expo 2011 special, taking you inside the halls of the convention center for the Ultimate Disney Fan Event. To begin our look back at the D23 Expo, we have a round-table discussion featuring everyone from the WDWNT Network staff who attended the event and we’ll try to pick out the highlights of the amazing four day extravaganza from each and every corner of the Walt Disney Company. To kick off this week’s show, we have the debut of the Walt Disney World Resort Weekend Update. While the name is new, you can expect the same weekly dose of news and rumors from around the vacation kingdom of the world, and there certainly is no shortage of topics to cover this week. During this week’s broadcast, we’ll discuss the new Wishes dessert party at the Magic Kingdom, the debut of Luxo Jr. at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the on-going tours of Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Also this week, listener Jeff Arauz finally takes control of the show and creates two unique segments for our enjoyment. First up is a round-table discussion that delves into three extremely important trip planning topics: Disney character meet-and-greets in the parks, the use of Photo Pass, and getting the most out of Extra Magic Hours.

To conclude this week’s show, we have a one time only segment created by Jeff called “The Bibbidi, The Bobbidi, and The Boo”. To kick off this historic episode, we’ll celebrate three of the most influential people in the WDWNT Network, all of which have helped us so much over the last two years and whom without this show would never be possible. How do we celebrate individuals like these? By inducting them into the WDW News Today Hall of Fame.

Following that, it’s time to play our favorite game show, “Where in the World is Tom Corless?”. This time around, it’s a fast paced game between WDWNT staff, former champions, and a very special guest. Who will win on the season finale of our game and who will find out where in the world I am? You’ll have to listen to find out!

After that, we have the LONG awaited return of our Walt Disney World history segment, Back to the Future. In this return trip through time, we’ll be looking at the history of my all-time favorite attraction, Journey into Imagination at Epcot. It’s a fun discussion as we delve into the fascinating story of the Dreamfinder and Figment, as well as the controversial versions of the attraction that came later on.

Next up, we have the biggest edition EVER of Town Square Talk, as Denise Hafto from Magical Travel joins Mayor Justin Heyman and myself for the most exciting announcement in WDWNT Network history. This announcement will hopefully accomplish our goal of bringing ourselves and our audience closer together.
