Disney pin collectors and Epcot purists should be happy about this 6 pin boxed-set coming out later this year at the Walt Disney World Resort (courtesy of Disneypins.com): Among the notable pieces of the collection are the original Future World, World Showcase, Spaceship Earth, and Epcot Center logos, the Dreamfinder and Figment pin, and a pin replicating the opening day Epcot Center ticket. Our good friend Robert Ashburn of Figmentsmedia.net has provided us with many pictures from his trip to Epcot during the first day of the 2009 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Let’s take a look at many of them: The “Cinderellabration” topiary welcomes guests near the entrance. It is certainly better than the former show of the same name This year’s festival is themed to Celebrations, much like the entire resort. It is also presented by Disney Nature and the film “Earth”

Even though I strongly dislike the restaurant, I applaud the effort to keep the experience at the “Tutto Italia Ristorante” in the Italy pavilion at Epcot fresh with special dining events like this one: Carnevale di Venezia is February 23 to March 4 at Tutto Italia Ristorante at Epcot A special lunch and dinner menu will be available to guests featuring scrumptious Italian cuisine. During the celebration, guests can choose one of two pre-selected appetizers, entrees and desserts. Lunch is served daily from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. A special performance by “Viva Venezia” will occur each evening during dinner inside the restaurant – see weekly times guide for show times. I’ve finally returned from my 12 day excursion to the Walt Disney World with a ton of photos to share of the latest happenings around the vacation kingdom, including an in-depth look at the two biggest new attractions of 2009.
