From February 11th-17th, the Magic Kingdom hosted Limited Time Magic’s “True Love Week” in honor of Valentine’s Day. The event consisted of several photo-ops, meet and greets with Princes and Princesses, and even a surprise musical medley from the Main Street Philharmonic. Just hours before it premiered, Disney announced that there would be a Super Bowl Pre-Parade before the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade at the Magic Kingdom starting on Friday. The special processional is being held February 1st-3rd and will also appear with the Super Bowl MVP on Monday afternoon. For one week only January 21st-27th, long-lost friends are returning to Magic Kingdom park and guests may have a rare chance to brush shoulders with classic characters in Town Square. Classic characters such as Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, the Three Little Pigs and more will be appearing! We will have more information on this breaking story as it becomes available.

Our latest extra sprinkle of Pixie Dust begins on Monday at the Canada Pavilion in Epcot. The forecast at Epcot this week is sunny with a chance of flurries. For one week only, January 14-20, there will be a magical Winter Wonderland location with falling snow where you and your family can meet and take photos with some of your favorite Disney characters. So, 2012 is coming to a close and you’re probably now asking, “Well, what is happening at Walt Disney World in 2013?” It’s going to be nearly impossible to top all the changes and additions we had in 2012 at the Vacation Kingdom of the World, but there will be a steady diet of exciting offerings coming in 2013: Princess Fairytale Hall Disney princesses including Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Jasmine, Tiana and Rapunzel will have a new home for meeting their loyal subjects when Princess Fairytale Hall opens in 2013 in the shadows of Cinderella Castle. While celbrating New Year’s Eve at the Magic Kingdom, I decided to take in the first Limited Time Magic offering: the “Bling in the New Year” Dance Party at the Tomorrowland stage. It really wasn’t much different than the usual Club 626 dance party with the exception of some added dancers, different character costumes, and countdown to the new year which happens once an hour. First, we’re beginning the New Year at Walt Disney World Resort in Magic Kingdom Park with Tomorrowland’s first ever “Bling in the New Year” dance party. For an entire week, children of all ages can celebrate the start of 2013. You’ll be able to watch live entertainment on Rockettower Plaza Stage, dance to great music and celebrate with some of your favorite Disney characters – all dressed in their New Year’s best.
