Tom Corless’ 7/25-26/12 WDW Photo Report

I don’t often get to contribute with a photo report, but I took a short two day trip to Walt Disney World stopping at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom so I took some photos. Let’s take a look at a rare Tom Corless photo report: Work continues on the separate entrance to Turtle Talk One of the exhibits in the Turtle Talk pre-show is being fixed up Some work happening between the Refreshment Port and the Canada pavilion in World Showcase On to the Magic Kingdom, work continues on the former Skyway site, expected to soon be home to restrooms, a new pathway, and the Tangled meet and greet The castle walls are coming along nicely This section looks nearly [...]

A New Fantasyland Aerial Update – April 2012

A New Fantasyland Aerial Update – April 2012

Courtesy of Scott Keating and scottkeating.net, we once again have some fantastic aerial photos of Fantasyland to share with you: The former site of Dumbo looks clear and more Castle Walls are rising. Also interesting is that the excess Mermaid rock-work will hide a cast access road. Gaston’s Tavern is still far behind the rest of the buildings in the Village as some are already getting roof shingles The old Fantasyland Skyway site has been flattened, so we should see some vertical construction soon I’d wager that we’ll see waterways and pathways within the next 6 weeks A special bonus: a look at the ongoing Big Thunder Mountain refurbishment. Looks like all the new track is in place and they [...]

An Aerial Look at New Fantasyland – March 2012

Courtesy of Scott Keating and scottkeating.net, we once again have some fantastic aerial photos of Fantasyland to share with you: The base of the old Dumbo is still lingering, guess it isn’t that easy to completely remove… A lot going on here: The bridge that will serve as the entrance to the Be Our Guest Restaurant is nearing completion, the Mermaid queue entrance is out from behind scaffolding and appears mostly complete with the exception of pavement, and we can now make out a distinguishable footprint for the Seven Dwarves Mine Train Another angle shows that Gaston’s Tavern is far behind the other buildings in the village We can now see where the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station is going [...]

More Photos of Storybook Circus with Construction Walls Down!

Well, everyone enjoyed the photos we shared yesterday so much that WDWNT reader Jessica Walker decided to take another pass at Storybook Circus from the Walt Disney World Railroad, and there was plenty more to see: Most of the Fantasyland Station is now visible Plenty of construction going on inside the building though Still a little more work to be done But the workers are excited to near completion! Cool vest! Even cooler vest! Oh Goofy! If you like behind the props in the queue, you can see the red Barnstormer plane vehicle This queue is much improved They were fixing the smoking rocket Some final touches being added We can see the front of the train! From the other [...]

An Aerial Look at the New Fantasyland Progress – February 2012

Courtesy of Scott Keating and scottkeating.net, we once again have some fantastic aerial photos of Fantasyland to share with you: The foundations for the Seven Dwarves Mine Train are now in place, the old Dumbo is now history, and it looks like an extension of the Mermaid rock-work is about to begin to make the show building not visible from Storybook Circus The queue for Enchanted Tales with Belle seems further along than any other project, so it’s possible that may open first Prince Eric’s castle is looking good, but the rest of the facade is far from finished Dumbo and the Fantasyland Station are nearing completion, meanwhile, the Barnstormer is complete with the exception of some landscaping and queue [...]
