When issue 19 of the magazine was released, the Letter from the Editor included a note that the magazine staff was taking a short break, and would use the downtime to consider improvements to the magazine. During that time, the magazine team considered many different options. Now the break is over, and I’m thrilled to announce that we are significantly changing the way we publish our content. Instead of releasing a monthly PDF version of the magazine, we are going to fully integrate our content into the main wdwnewstoday.com website. Our magazine articles will be published as featured content of the site. The plan is to publish a couple of articles each weekend. The articles will be highlighted as magazine [...]
The holiday season is once again upon us and as usual, it’s a time where we should think about those who are less fortunate than we are and try to make a difference in their lives. Over 60 years ago, Walt Disney became one of the original sponsors of the Toys for Tots foundation, which ensures that every underprivileged child receives a toy during the holiday season. Walt and his animators personally designed the original Toys for Tots train logo that is still used today and the first poster created for Toys for Tots. In this spirit, WDW News Today, the WDWNT Network, and our many friends and partners are putting on a 30-hour live broadcast to raise money for [...]

When WDW News Today turned 1 year old, John Corigliano wanted to celebrate with a video recapping the year that was in both Walt Disney World and in our site and podcast. This became an annual tradition for three years, with us eventually canceling the project for 2011 because of a lack of time and resources. We are very happy to share that we did not let our 5 year anniversary go by the same way. Instead of just looking back at the year that was, we decided to do a video recapping the last 5 years when John returned to WDWNT in January. John not only did this, but he also produced a short music video in honor of [...]
Every year this Network grows older, we reflect upon the accomplishments, impact, and incredible growth of WDWNT. It has now been 5 years since WDW News Today launched on July 8th, 2007. What was founded on the website you see before you and built on the back of daily news and information about Walt Disney World is now a vibrant collection of websites, podcasts, electronic publications, online radio stations, & more. The last year in particular has been a memorable one, from the ongoing project of moving our expansive video library to Youtube, to “See Ya’ Real Late” with Tom Corless making it’s successful debut on iTunes. We even set new records in traffic for our websites and podcasts this [...]
While it may not be happening at Walt Disney World, WDWNT will be heading out to California to cover all the festivities at the Disneyland Resort over the next week. From the grand opening of Cars Land and Buena Vista Street, to the premiere of new entertainment such as the Voices of Liberty, Streetmosphere, and more, the WDWNT Network will bring you closer to the excitement than anyone else. We’ve even set up a special live coverage site at www.DisneylandNewsToday.com/DCALive to make it easier and faster to connect with everything going on. The page brings together the in-depth coverage that will be found on Disneyland News Today’s website, the up-to-the-minute tweeting from @DLNT, and even live video streaming which we [...]
The Avengers may be burning up the box office, but there is another Summer blockbuster on the way: A little overdramatic? Sure, but if you’re looking for a few days of fun this Summer, the New York City area can offer it… It was 5 years ago here in New York that it all began for WDW News Today. What began as a small blog dedicated to covering any and all news at the Walt Disney World Resort is now a network of popular websites and podcasts that are viewed by thousands of Disney fans each and every day. Before we move the entire operation to Orlando later this year, we plan to go out in style and celebrate the [...]

We are happy to announce the release of issue 10 of WDWNT: The Magazine. As we turn our attention to winter in the parks, we take the opportunity to look at some of the Disney company offerings this year. First we head across the Pacific for a look at Hong Kong Disneyland. From there it’s back to the United States for a special look at the recent Marty Sklar and Jack Lindquist panel at IAAPA 2011 Exposition. Then, we travel from the real world to the virtual world as we have an in-depth review of the Disneyland Kinect game that was recently released. Finally we enter the fairy-tale world by considering ABC’s new hit, Once Upon A Time. We also [...]
