Port Orleans Riverside is our “home away from home” whenever we visit WDW.  With its meandering waterway and beautifully landscaped pathways, it truly reflects the charm of the “old south”.  At night it is so quiet, except for the crickets singing their welcome to all the guests. I love this resort, and is the only place we will stay when we visit WDW.  I love all the new renovations and am anxious to visit here again so I can view them in person.

The rug is reminiscent of its original name “Magnolia Bend.”  It will always be Dixie Landings to us with its two sections – Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend.

I still have my Dixie Landings badge – unused and pristine – in my jewellery box!  I’ve been 3 times, but this time going to the Wilderness.  However, have booked dinner at Boatwrights one evening.  Afterwards, we’ll take a boat to DTD for some shopping before getting on the bus to go ‘home’.  Looking forward to seeing the spruced-up Riverside.

I’ve stayed at Riverside many times and loved the look. The photos are great and the renovations are gorgeous! I’m looking forward to hopping over to that resort and checking out the changes in September!
