Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Tour – Photo (and Video) Report
Posted on June 30, 2009
Our own Tom Corless, as well as other members of the WDWNT Staff went on a private tour this past Monday, of the brand new Disney Vacation Club resort, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Jessica Pezzula has sent us in some wonderful photos, and also our good friend Matt Pezzula from WDWCelebrations brings us a great high definition video. Let’s start our wonderful tour:
A look at some familiar concept art during the presentation portion of the tour
All Disney Vacation Club members are now greeted with a “Welcome Home” sign before the bridge to Bay Lake Tower
A bridge takes you from the Contemporary Resort’s Grand Canyon Concourse to the brand new Bay Lake Tower. The bridge is a suspended cable bridge with a cover over it
Looking over from the bridge you see the beautiful finished entrance that you will find as you arrive at the resort
Once inside, you’ll find many references to items you can see from the top of the tower
A view from the elevator boarding area
A look at the new Bay Lake Tower pool area
Walking through the resort, all the rooms are labeled very nicely with light up room numbers with a modern flare
Remember a while back the Saratoga Springs room models of Bay Lake Tower? A nice kitchen
This guy was very excited to see the grand villa!
A view of the Contemporary Resort marina and pool area
The grand villa has 3 bedrooms/2 baths on 2 floors, this was the balcony on the second story looking over the living room
A very cool looking table in front of the kitchen
Another look at the Living Room with a great view and an LCD flat panel TV. See the hidden mickey in the carpet?
Overheard view of the living room
Moving in to the bedrooms, this room includes two queen size beds with a balcony
The room includes an LCD flat panel TV and a computer desk
See the giant hidden Mickey?
Moving to the members-only Top of the World Lounge, the bar has a John Hench monorail rendering behind the counter
The lounge is beautiful and is a great place for people to relax
From the lounge balcony you get an amazing view of the Magic Kingdom
Space Mountain and Toontown are close by
The balcony is full of speakers that will pump in music from the Magic Kingdom fireworks shows. The speakers are full of hidden Mickeys
And to end this report, here’s Matt Pezzula’s video of Bay Lake Tower
Thanks for the report Matt and Jessica!
