I have recently spent an entire day resort hopping, on a couple different trips actually. The first time was doing the easiest one as far as getting around is concerned: the Monorail resorts. Starting the morning by eating breakfast at Kona Cafe in the Polynesian to get their delicious Tonga Toast, that way you can park for free, but you might want to make a dining reservation first. We then checked out the shops and walked around out by the beach and checked out the grounds...then we headed to the Grand Floridian, which we were there between Christmas and NYE so they had the place decorated to the max, and it is truly a beautiful sight to see, especially the ginger bread house. My son accidentally fell down and bumped his head on a table by the ginger bread house, and one of the Cast Members working there saw that he was crying because of it, so she gave him a cookie for free! That is one of the reasons why we love to go to Disney: the top notch customer service. Afterwards we went over to the Contemporary....it's neat to see the different pool areas and shops which of course when you have a 4 year old like I do, you will end up buying things....he will always talk me into buying him toys, etc. You can do all 3 Monorail resorts in about 5 hours or so. Most recently we went to the Epcot area resorts and ate lunch on The Boardwalk, walked around for a bit then hopped on a boat to check out the Yacht Club and Beach Club resorts. It was convenient being there because I was having trouble getting the My Disney Experience app to complete a ADR for Citricos for dinner that night even though I knew there was an opening available and was able to get the concierge there to complete my ADR for me! Once again, excellent customer service! After checking out those resorts we drove on over to Grand Floridian for dinner at Citricos which was delicious. Then after dinner we walked out to the dock by Narcoossee's to watch Wishes! fireworks. A great way to end the evening for sure without having to fight with the crowds to get a good viewing spot to watch the fireworks. Resort hopping is certainly a great relaxing way to spend the day at WDW! Excellent article Katey! Wish I would have known about Beaches & Cream for when we stopped by the Beach Club, but there's always next time!
